Once I learned how to teach these longer Sun A’s I’ve taught almost every class since with some variation in there. I love a simple Sun A, but I equally love these as a way to warm into it. For me it comes between integration (the first 10 minutes of class) and Sun A’s/B’s. I usually do one or two rounds to stretch a little deeper and start moving with the breath. This one below includes stepping the right side forward into a low lunge with an easy twist then standing splits, and stepping the right side back into anjenayasana before moving into chatturnga and then the other side. You can get super creative with these, though I rarely add any standing poses like warrior 1, warrior 2, or crescent lunch. Check it out and let me know what you think! Ideas of how to enhance??
