Ranger Nutrition Protein Bites

You know how I love when almonds & action collide, this time in the form of protein powder and an entrepreneurial veteran. I would say the ultimate action, in terms of being an active & engaged citizen, is serving in our military. There is no greater act of devotion to our country than literally offering your life. I had the unique honor of meeting & getting to know an awesome man, Scott Hardesty who created Ranger Nutrition, and is a veteran of the US Army.

As my very first guest to ever chat with on Discover Your Inner Awesome Podcast, I had the chance to try some of his products before chatting so that I could better understand his business. In a nutshell, after time in the military and being a workout fanatic he was unhappy with the protein & supplement offerings out there and wanted to develop something effective but delicious. And that is exactly what he has done. The powders make for a super smooth drink even when just mixed with water, and the "ranger candy" is unbelievably yummy. Even for a girl who doesn't like sweet drinks, it has this tart kick that keeps you wanting more.

All of that said, supporting those who have sacrificed and taken the ultimate action for the greater good of their community and country and the world is critical. I've been really excited to try out his products and since I'm not always a huge protein shake drinker I decided to get creative and use the protein powder to create little bites! I used my leftover almond meal (you know, the stuff in my Ellie's Bag that you get 10% off of when you use code Almonds10) and created the perfect protein snack.
