Imperfect Produce Grapefruit Oatmeal & Chia Seed Bowl
As a lot of you know, I consider myself a Californian because that's where I lived for the majority of my childhood. That said, I actually spent my most formative years (10-16) living in Florida and I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a little Florida in my blood (really folks I'm a nomad). Florida is obviously known for it's citrus and the town we lived in was full of citrus orchards, and then oddly enough for a number of years I worked on the Tropicana business at PepsiCo where I again touched on the Florida Citrus business.
All of this is to say I used to eat grapefruits for breakfast growing up, but I haven't had them in AGES and when I saw them as an option to add to my Imperfect Produce box I jumped on it!
I love the slightly bitter, tart, refreshing taste of grapefruit and for me, it pairs perfectly with warmer sweeter flavors which were how I came up with this oatmeal/chia seed bowl.

What I used:
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup water
- 1/8 cup chia seeds
- 1 grapefruit peeled and cut
- 1 big scoop crunchy peanut butter
- a sprinkle of hemp seeds
- a big pinch of coconut flakes
How to:
- Cook the oatmeal per instructions (adding the chia seeds in as you cook).
- Fill up your bowl of oatmeal and one by one add your beautiful toppings!
