First Dinner Al Fresco On Our New Deck: Grilled Turkey Burgers
We kept it pretty quiet but in early May we finally made our roof deck dreams a reality! We had been planning on doing this for a LONG time (we have literally had an outdoor TV sitting in storage for 2 years). It took a couple weeks after completing construction to get all of the cushions and seating ready but that didn't stop us from dining al fresco at the first opportunity we had.
What We Ate:
Turkey Burgers: Pre-Made from Whole Foods, seasoned at home with steak seasoning and grilled to perfection. Served up on Pretzel Buns with cheddar, avocado & homemade dijonaise.
Sweet Potato Fries: Sliced up real thin, tossed in oil and salt and roasted in the oven on a baking sheet lined with parchment at 425 for about 40 minutes until golden/slightly crispy.
Corn & Zucchini Salad: Grilled corn on the cob (sliced off the cob once ready) with roasted zucchini, diced heirloom tomato, grapeseed oil, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt & pepper.
